best ftp program

ive got a lot of files to transfer, im using filezilla and half of the files seem to be failing and connection keeps cutting out:/ can anyone recommend me a better one?

Filezilla is probably the most reputable. Are you sure it's not a problem with your settings/computer/internet?

If you use Firefox you can try FireFTP to see if it is Filezilla at fault.

Are you using a download accelerator?

Do you know who's running the server you're trying to connect to?

Another vote for this. I've never had any issues with it. Could also determine where the problem you are having is coming from!

The number of allowed connections is a server side setting - so trying another FTP program probably won't cure your problem as it's just going to ask for another connection from your IP address and be denied.

I asume you don't have 8 filezilla windows/tabs open?

Is there a setting in Filezilla somewhere where you can specify multiple connections to speed up downloading? If so, turn it off.

Personally I use SmartFTP. Get v2.5 though because 3.0 is toss.

I like webdrive - sets up your ftp connection to act like a network drive and you can then work on files as if they are on your pc rather than download edit save upload.
