Best game intro?

Why are all of your choices from really old games ?!
What about the awesome halo jump in MGS3, what about the amazing opening to Bioshock and can anyone forget the action packed boat level (Which is almost like the intro) to Call of Duty 4?! Where is the modern gaming love :D

Cause they don't make 'em like they used to :p;)
 
as far as RTS goes, nothing ever beats my first view at total annihilations intro, it was mint! and its successor supreme commander/forged alliance have pretty impressive intros as well, never a red alert fan to be honest
 
For me it definitely comes down to a choice between the Red Alert 2 intro, with the live action exposition followed by the CGI invasion of New York to the hell march 2 theme.

Or Dawn of War, where the space marines are fighting the Orks, their predator gets destroyed and the Orks rush only to be stopped last minute by a dreadnought, still has me on the edge of my seat even now. :) It's a real shame the rest of Dawn of War's cutscenes are done "in-game", they're nowhere near as good.

Final Fantasy 7 and 8 both get honourable mentions, cracking intro sequences.
 
me personaly i think its Klingon Academy , i has evey thing you want , Christopher plummer , klingons , huge space battle , klingon on klingon knife fight , some has his eye out.

sadly i can't find a you tube video , was a long intro if you include the stuff upto the frist hall adress made by General Chang ill have to stick it up there since ive diged out the cd's now (all 6 of them)

LOL I honestly didn't see this before I posted mine!
 
one of the best things about the i-war intro was that all the crews interfaces and huds were identical to what you used in game too.

Awesome game.
