While I remember, Frontier: Elite II Had an awesome intro, the game itself was years ahead of it's time, being released in 1993. And the intro has awesome music.
I really liked the COD4 intro, atmospheric and set the scene nicely. I think loving a particular game increases how highly you rate the intro, so it is purely a personal thing...
For me, it was the old CnC games for their pure cheeseyness.
Next, original UT since that did set the scene for the game - a violent contest.
James Bond - Nightfire - That did send a chill up the spine, it had all the vibes of a Bond movie.
Then, there are all the intros Janes Simulations did, especially for Longbow.
Finally GRID - That pumping remix of Queens of the Stone Age classic No One Knows!!
