Best game intro?

Mine has got to be this!

Another world. Literally

Another vote for Another World. I played it first in the 1990's, then again on the remastered less pixely version a couple of years back. Very tough game to beat actually, but sheer brilliance.

Also, I played this one a few times, which is basically the sequel. Excellent game!

Cannon Fodder, the video that started this thread, gets my vote.

But I'm quite partial to the Q3A intro too, seeing as I spent so many years playing it.

All these are classics to me, God the nostalgia is strong here. Almost feel all emotional looking back at these, so many good memories.

Driver

Resident Evil (still can't get over the horrid voice acting)

Medal Of Honour

Metal Gear Solid

Silent Hill

Theme Hospital

Enough for tonight :P

Thought the intro to STALKER was done well, although not epic, it added even more ambiguity to the character and the location.

Got to say that is a very good intro for a game, with how it establishes what the games actually about. Zombies, mayhem, watching each others backs etc.

One of the most memorable intros for me. The pan through Midgar brings back fond memories :)

Red Alert 2, need i say more.

I must have played that game so much i could probably recite the intro by heart lol.

Sure there are plenty more, but none are popping into my head at the moment.

Honorable mentions to all of the WoW intro cinematics, especially for the original game. A shame they are so much more epic than the game itself.
