Best games to play when unemployed?

All I know is I played Minecraft a hell of a lot when I was in between jobs. That much so that when I closed my eyes to go to sleep at night I could see blocks moving around and forming things by themselves. Once I got another job I didn't play Minecraft for nearly 8 months, didn't interest me in the slightest.

I didn't even make anything good, if you've got a creative imagination then I guess you can waste quite a lot of time on that game.

How can you afford a new game like Tropico 4 when you're unemployed?

I'm currently unemployed (starting from yesterday) and the only game I'm getting is F1 2011 with vouchers, otherwise it's sticking with games I already own.

Masturbate with stop watch, try improve on your times each hour.

Rinse and repeat until hospitalised. Then claim disability allowance and live off the state.

Why bother? Because if you don't play the game of life you'll never win! Get out and do something useful with yourself :)

I hate seeing wasted lives, I see plenty of them daily

A lot have said wow. I lost a job about 3 years ago when I was already a wow addict. I just ended up lasting as long as i could on benefits so i had more time for wow!

It took about 7 months of wow 24/7 for me to finally get bored, kick it to touch and get a job instead.

I really dont know what to study.

It seems pointless to study this bookkeeping because even If I qualify the likelihood of job is minimal.

I cant do another degree I got to much student debt.

And so many other graduates unemployed aslo.

What can I study to get a job? I have no idea

If I play guitar 5-10hrs per day will I become so good Ill be able to make a living?

OP I think you are going through period of downturn where everything in life seems to be stale and dry. It is as if nothing is motivating you and you are kind a 'lost'.

I think we all go through these periods in life and it is normal to feel that way. However like it is said ' the world is built upon hope':)

I am doing accounting now after changing my field from engineering as I never managed to get job in that field. I m finding accounting more interesting and at the same time doing some voluntary work (administration and accounting) at my local voluntary council.

I am also in the process of applying for jobs so fingers crossed:cool:

Sure even I go through times when I am not feeling any motivation to do anything. However still at the back of my mind I have to get a paid job and this keeps me going even though it may take a long time but I have to carry on.

You mentioned playing guitar. Definitely practice it more and may be take some music classes. I am sure people can point you in the direction of music recruitment. Try also other things like exercising. It definitely helps with refreshing body and mind and gives you a chance to get out of house.

I am also learning CryEngine 3 during my spare time and it is amazing.

In the end I would say do what motivates you, be it guitar playing or anything else. Also definitely fill in your time with different activities perhaps even cooking which is also a lot of fun.:)

i do have plenty non work hobbies, exercise, music, football etc.

Problem is work after degree

Mayeb Ill go down the accounting route I dunno, seems hard to get into tbh
