Hi, need some tips on a new monitor, as I am getting bored of my old one atm I'm running ASUS Rog Swift PG279q. I am in need of something bigger :), games I play mostly RPG, but sometimes ill get stuck for hours on APEX or Halo etc.

GPU 3080TI
CPU 5900X

Thanks :)

The Alienware AW3423DW is the only thing worth considering at that price point to be honest. RRP is a bit over, but there might be some student etc. codes which still work

Agree, only thing would be lead times if they have any in stock? For my locale the delivery date comes up late August.

Yeah, sorry I should have mentioned that, sadly stock is an issue at the moment (still waiting for mine after almost a month), but from everything I've seen it should be well worth the wait.

If you really dont want to wait then the 38" Alienware is also a fantastic monitor - it's higher resolution than the 34", and the PQ is great, but is IPS rather than QD-OLED, so may have some glow (although mine didn't have much) and blacks are not the true black you get from OLED

Just wait for the Alienware - it will be worth it. I have one and its the best monitor I've used by a long shot

1440 pixel height thou

The problem imho is we are still missing decent 4k 32”-36” options for gamers, but the truth is they are not available if you are buying now unfortunately. This is because most monitor manufacturers do not make the panels and those that do look at the TV market

Yes, after checking this market out for a while I have to agree with Tim from HU where 4k monitors are just too expensive and you end up falling into the TV territory OLED's @ around £1000. This leaves a big gulf between a good 1440p monitor after £500 where the outlay for gains is terrible.
