Best gpu for q9550

well, a 970 is much faster than a 1050ti, so on the basis of pure performance alone, then it'll be a 970
however you also need to consider that if you do get a 970, then they're potentially out of warranty too.

Just because i dont play much demanding games thats why im thinking is it worth it for me going with 970. And wich gpu will reflect more on my cpu limitations? Thank you

what res you gaming at ? wondering if a 970 will cause bottleneck even at CS:GO

even in modern demanding games , you'll be paying for a product and getting getting a half empty glass

I had a [email protected] (depending on system) and saw a ~30% increase in performance in many games from heavily OC'd GTX470 SLI (about GTX680 performance) when I went to a 4820K at stock - never mind OC'd.

He may struggle on pubg even with a 970.

For reference, my stock xeon x5660 + 980 only just runs pubg at 60fps with a mixture or low/medium settings.

If i'm not feeling tired later after work, i'll set up my old q6600 and 980 and see how it gets on but i'm not holding my breath.

Do you have a gpu now? edit Just saw your sig, that's an old card, I personally think 1050ti, or if you're looking to get serious with PC gaming a 1060 with the view of upgrading the rest of the system later.

Hi guys, is it better to go with used 970 or new 1050/Ti? For csgo dota pubg. Cpu oc'd to 3.4 atm. Thank you

Hi, is this the maximum overclock your motherboard allows?

I would certainly prefer something new, like Radeon R9 380(X) 4GB.

This game must be struggling with any enthusiast components, then

I know pubg is poorly done at the mo, but dont think C2Q will be on the min required list , guessing i3 3rd gen and above

OP, wait for boxing day and see if theres any sales, might land ryzen 1400 or i3 8100 on a deal with board and 8GB ram with gtx 1050 ti...

If a 6-core/12-thread Westmere with GeForce GTX 980 can't handle it, imagine what kind of a system it requires, a GTX 1080 Ti for sure

at the moment - dont forget not even in beta :)
that game has made vendors a fortune!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
in theory should end up having min specs just above CS:gO to maximise player fan base and profit

ikr, incentivises devs to release a half-assed job and call it done as they've hit the mother lode and raking in the $$$.
silly

1280x1024 4:3 i think. Its still with old monitor but more of the time its on 40" 1080p tv as HTPC. That monitor is enough untill i will build new rig in couple of years time and this will be just HTPC.

Yes that GPU is ancient that i have but for my kind of gaming was more then enough :D was thibking aswell about 1060 3Gb one but then is no point because aftet couple of years will build new rig any way and this will serve as HTPC. Atm i run hdmi and audio cables to the tv and i want to be over hdmi pic and sound so wont need to see many cables around :)

Well i managed to get it stable @3.7 last winter :D but when summer came it started to free because vram dont have heat sinks it started to throttle had to drop it down to this speed. But will put some coolers around and try to keep it at this point atleast :)

Im not in to new build this year :D will see in couple of years how the prices and what sort of goodies will be out :)

I'd wholeheartedly pick the 1050ti to go with your q9550 otherwise a faster gpu most certainly will be bottlenecked by the cpu/processor.
