Gran Turismo 5 would be the best looking racing game - if it was on PC. On the PS3 though its horribly lowres with way too many jaggies etc I sold it within a day

f1 2010 with the abu dhabi HD 1.1 Mod

gives all the cars high res skins, improves lighting and weather fx

as for forza and gt5... if they had no jaggies and were playable at very high resolutions then maybe, but they both look like ass because of the jaggies !

its not the best looking but iracing is by far the best racing game, nothing else comes close

I don't need to back my opinion up though. I prefer the look of Lawrence of Arabia to The Phantom Menace, would I have to defend my argument if I posted this in the Film forum?

as for the best looking racer then it's gotta be shift 2 with aa forced, really does look quite a lot better than anything else. iracing with 4xsgssaa will do me though nice and crisp with clean lines and still 120fps

Dirt 3 looks incredible from the videos posted so far.

Dirt 2 and F1 2010 look excellent too.

Codemasters have a great engine, and the new iteration of it brings some great new features too.

Huh? I don't hate consoles, I own a 360, Wii and PS3. I also own Forza 3 and GT5.

I cba looking to see which game it was you were defending, but neither are close to Dirt 2 in graphics. The fact that you prefer the art style of a game is irrelevant to how good the graphics are.

I love the art style in WoW, it's one of my favourite games when it comes to looks, but that doesn't mean it's one of the best games graphically.

My brother hasn't played his much since he got his PC either. I find watching him play it extremely painful after gaming on my PC.

My vote goes to Dirt 3. I'm not fond of track racing games.

least it cuts out the jaggies though, also generally higher res textures and extra effects helps. Then theres the small matter of being just much more powerful
