Medieval Total War II with unit sizes maxed.

Nothing beats seeing so many little chaps beating each other over the head with swords.

Not a new game but I bet it looks stunning at a high res with everything up on full.

I'll second that, although there is a graphics mod out their which looks awsome.

Also another vote for stalker.

Two Worlds looks awsome on Full especially the water with dynamic lighting turned up a crack.

ok it's an MMORPG but Lord of the Rings online has some really nice gfx on high (these ss's are not dx10)

Bioshock looks very nice maxed out but doesn't require super super hardware to do it. Runs pretty much perfectly on my E4300@stock with a 256mb X1950 Pro.

tbh, Oblivion is looking dating these days, Even with the mods, They still push a graphics card pretty well, But there are better games.

Stalker being my favourite.

It took me ages to find the Stalker mods today, with a very slow DL speed. I've got them here if anybody would like, you'll need the correct client.

Bloody hell, wonder what sort of fps that is getting! Those shadows must be raping the GPU, plus I don't remember that many shadows in the stock game.

second that. i was running LOTR Online on a 9800pro / amd64 2.2ghz / 1g ram @1280x1024, with a mix of medium/high settings +2x AA and it looked great and ran suprisingly well.

Gears of War looks nice. imo from a design point of view, the environments look more defined than in UT3 although it's practically the same engine. UT3 does throw a lot of detail around though and seems to handle effects better.
