My 4 year old has taken a liking to Paradise city while I was playing Burnout Paradise so am looking to pickup one of their albums.

Which album is considered their best or do I just go for a "Best of...."?

Both the 'Use your illusion' albums are great, i think the first one edges it slightly although the second one has Estranged which is the best track they did imo.

Agreed.

Although a best of isn't a bad shout as that'll have classics like don't cry, patience, November Rain that aren't on AFD.

Edit: Greatest Hits was £4.99 on amazon

IMO Appetite for Destruction was there best album, I would then say the Lies EP/Mini Album, followed by UYI 1 and 2. The spaghetti incident has some pretty fun covers of older songs, but as its a cover album I dont think you could call it a proper album still worth a listen, not listened to the new one so cant help you with that one.

this album is for you and not the 4 year old i hope? it's language is a little colourful to say the least. after listening to this repeatedly as a teen, every other word i spoke began with the letter f. :p

Without a shadow of a doubt Appetite For Destruction is definitely their best (imo) it even has one of the coolest album covers:

in this order of greatness

appetite 4 destruction ( one of the best metal albums of all time, top 3)
use your illusion 2
use your illusion 1

the rest were meh

It was for both of us to have a little mosh to :)

Thanks for the heads up.

What to do....

Would rather she grew up listening to this than "Girls Aloud".

I will be listening with her so if she asks, I can explain and warn her VERY STRICTLY never to repeat them.

Only words after all.

GN'R Lies wasn't a bad album either, and has one of their most popular songs "Patience" on it.

Their so-called "Greatest Hits" album looks sick. :(

Appetite all the way.
