im looking to choose a hard drive for my new computer i mean even a 320 gb would be enough but since i have 50 quid i can spend my max of 50 to buy the hard drive i can.

any ideas on which hard drive it might be? to be honest i prefer speed to amount of gb's. and i mainly play games on my pc(well im going to once i get it)

the seagate barracuda .12 range is a good place to start, but they may be soon superseeded by the samsung f3

cant wait for soon :D

ordering this week hopefully :D

btw can u give me any specific links? i have nooo ideaaa about hard drives, no idea how much the cache has to be 16MB or 32MB no idea about average seek time :X all i know is the gigabytes :D

If you really want the best; then you're looking SSDs/Raptors however these are hugely expensive, and far more than your budget. Samsung F1/Western Digital Blacks and Seagate .12s are probably the best 'normal range' drives atm. I dont think you'll be dissapointed with any of them.
