Best headset for pc and ps3

Im wondering can anyone recommend 7.1/5.1 headset for pc and ps3 please (pc being the most important)

Iv a pretty good budget 200

is surround sound really required?

the corsair HS1 would do the job really well.

alternatively the logitech G35 would be a safe bet. problem is that stock is in shortage at the moment so they are difficult to obtain.

most of the "5.1, 7.1" headsets are fake surround, id just get the HS1,s and save the rest on a game or two or, graphics card, ssd, monitor, keyboard, mouse. etc the list goes on.

God damn I wish I saw those HS1's when I was buying, having a nightmare with Roccat Kaves, sending them back and getting a full refund.

Do the HS1's 100% work with PS3?

i have turtle beach px21's and they work with everything, pretty decent for the price and are a pretty comfortable fit!

If the corsair HS1's work with the PS3 I will get them. If they don't, I'll get the HS1A and an xonar DG. If anyone could confirm that the HS1 USB works with ps3 that would be great, google is fruitless surprisingly :S

HS1's do not...all the reviews say PC only...think.
