Best hi-def lcd for under 1k?

lol, I'm also in this dilemma

though I think I'm getting a plasma, what are your reasons for going LCD? Would be interested to know.

Well lcd just seems to be the standard now, the quality looks amazing too. All the talk about the plasmas running out of gas kinda worries me.

Im thinking of 26" - 32" , i feel the price jump to 37" is too much.

Oh and just to add, im planning on hooking my pc up to it, getting a wireless keyboard and mouse then ditching my massive pc desk.

Well it all depends on how far away from the thing you will be sat.

I can't recommend my LG 26" enough! its brilliant.

I doubt you'd get a decent HD plasma for 1K. At this price range you could get a nice Samsung LE32R41 LCD and have some change

I would have the 26", but i know ill be wishing i had the 32" if i did.

32" Toshiba 32WLT58 for £960 including delivery and stand!

Probably the best 32" under £1500, and with the 20% new customer discount the seller is doing, it's an absolute bargain!

It's worrying that people still believe that to be true. Its an old wives tale, they suffer from burn in but not running out of gas.

Most people did believe it. I would still rather go lcd anyway. Screen burn on plasmas is real ugly.

I would say you're looking at a Samsung or an LG. Though there's an Asian brand that someone else here uses that you can get for cheap.
