Best high quality Keyboard & Mouse combo

I'm loving this BANSHEE BLUE glow :P

I myself have the Lachesis and I am wating for that keyboard you are about to purchase to go down in price; I need to own one!! :)

I know what you mean about that, as it cost me £63.14 to order this, but really wanted this as it looks so damn nice, and the blow glow will go well with the mouse and the blue glow I will have with my new machine, all about colour coding, and probably the nicest keyboard&mouse combo I have ever owned :D

It might just be because of my small hands, but for me, I have a different grip or posture (or whatever the mouse term is) for my hand on this mouse. I mean, it's more of a claw grip, making for easier rapid direction changing movement!

The profiles can be really handy for changing between game styles quickly - I even set one to the lowest dpi possible etc for movies :P

The Dinivo is crap. It's a squidgy laptop keyboard - all design and poor functionality.

IMO, get a really good gaming mouse (Razer or similar) and an original IBM Model M keyboard. I just got rid of my G15/G5 combo for a UK Model M and Razer DeathAdder, and they blow the Logitech stuff away. Can't beat a clicky, tactile keyboard for speed and precision, rather than some fancy plastic with bells n whistles.

Trouble is I prefer plastic with bells and whistles, as they look nicer and the keys are a lot easier to press, ever since I used to have a Dinovo v1 setup before it stopped working, the keys were an absolute dream to press, from start to finish

I have different profiles for different games, for RPG's I have the two buttons of the left side bound to abilities for quick easy access - it only works for newer games tho : /
Then for FPS games, COD4 for example, I have each one bound to a different grenade :)

For all the times that I have had a mouse with these extra buttons, I have never really made any use out of them, but guess I might start to do so when I get these new games coming in to try out.

I find that if your logitech equipment becomes faulty within a couple of years, they will replace it with no returns after just one phone call and proof of purchase.

Got my MX rev replaced after 18 months in just this manner.

They are a great company if their equipment goes wrong.

original IBM Model M keyboard

Ah Yes, the lovely original Model M would look lovely on my desk, who needs illuminated keys ;)

+1 on the G15. However, if you don't see yourself using the screen ( i never do) save some money and get the G11 http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=KB-090-LG&groupid=702&catid=23&subcat=1258. Lovely illuminated keys and great volume control. Have played games and wrote uni essays (sometime simultaneously) on the g15 board for over three years. The G11 looks like mine just minus the unused screen - so that would be my high quality keyboard pick.

As for mouse, again logitech dominates. That said: I am a self confessed logitech mouse fanboy. I have had the MX1000, G5, MX Revolution and I now have the MX1100. This new mouse is brilliant, the 1600DPI is just what I need for my 1920x1200 monitor, no more DPI required. I use it every day and play all my FPSs on it - no problems with lag. Oh - and the scroll wheel is godly. If you are worried about non rechargable batteries - don't. I haven't changed my batteries since Christmas.http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=KB-144-LG

I have received my new Razor keyboard & mouse early this morning, have not set them up yet as they wont be coming out to play until I place the order for my new machine, but having a quick look at them (nobody can resist the urge not to) they look really good, high quality, the keys on the special edition keyboard look just perfect, and will be very special once its powered up and glowing all over the place, and the mouse looks big and real high quality as well.

I used to be a Logitech fanboy for years, but after purchasing these 2 I have been converted to the Razor way of life :D
