Moved my components over from an SG03 -> TJ08.

Temps have dropped from 77 load to 65 using the NT06 cooler on my G0 Q6600.

Now im using a case that can take any cooler,im looking for an easy to install, intel push pin cooler that stomps my nt06.

Suggestions?

Scythe Ninja is pretty good :) I'm about to put mine back on my Q6600, I remember it kept the temps quite low.

thanks guy's, I just remembered I have the AC freezer 7 Pro in my kids machine I got it because it was cheap, didnt think it was considered to be a top cooler, when compared to say an ocz Gladiator?

I did use the AC Freezer in my spare pc which I have now changed to the Sunbeam, fancied a change :) but I still think it's a good cooler for the price.
Not sure how it compares with the OCZ.

Noticed idle was around 4-5c lower with sunbeam (35/36c with the sunbeam) and full load with the freezer was 55c with a slow fan, sunbeam with the cpu overclocked was 58/62c at full load but fan was medium setting.

Setup was a E2200 Overclocked to 3ghz.

Did not test the cpu @ stock the sunbeam.

The Arctic Cooling Freezer Pro is good cooler on a budget, but I wouldn't recommend it for a Quad Core CPU like the Q6600, especially if you are doing massive overclocks with it.

The Akasa AK-967 Nero Direct Contact Heatpipe CPU Cooler is another good Intel Push Pin style cooler and on par or sometimes better than the Sunbeam one. Not to mention it is a lot less thicker too. Shame it is out of stock at the moment.

I'm currently using a Scythe Ninja on my Q6600 (in a Lian Li V2000) and it's performing well. Normal usage (office apps, internet, etc) sees around 38 -36 degrees across all four cores, and it's very quiet with the standard Scythe fan.

The Akasa AK-965 is a great cooler.

It's push pin, the fan is quieter than the AC Freezer and it's £3 cheaper.

Temps on my E8400 at 4Ghz is 37c idle and 61c full load.

I've read a lot of good things about this

nice to see another TJ08 owner !

I will post some pics soon Im really happy with it for most part it was a pain getting 3 1TB hardrives into it ( had to dremel the drill hole bure off one of the 3.5 bezels)

Lots of space to work with compared to the SG03 and its not much bigger.

Guys I have gone for the Akasa Nero (Hope it Fits) Its the big brother of the 965 so should allow me to over clock.

Im going to need a new northbridge cooler I think, as my current one the zalman Fan is a little Tall & wide, was thinking of one of those enzotech all copper jobies?

must admit the hdd cage is pretty shabby in relation to the 3.5" bay bezels, I simply removed the bezels and got some mesh cut to fit, black filter foam behind it and it's anow a secondary passive air intake ( looking for a slim fan to slip behaind it )

Piccy's, I think its very poor of SIlverstone to Ignore Fitting Hard Drives in the 2 Bezel'd 3.5 inch bays, I mean what would u need two for in this day & Age, A Small fan Controller & what a Floppy Drive?

People are forgetting that a quad pushes out a lot more heat :( I wouldnt use an Artic 7 or similar on mine.

Hay guys, as the Sunbeam Cooler comes with Tuniq TX-2 thermal grease, would it be best to replace with Arctic Silver 5, Arctic Cooling MX-2 or similar thermal compound or is the TX-2 thermal compound just as good as these on thermal performance, low temps???

Thanks for responding.
