My appologies. That didn't come across as I intended it to. I realise it wasnt a very usefull post.

On Topic.

I do find PC Cillin to be usefull should you need to use that type of software.

I have used Norton 2003/4/5, Zone alarm Pro and Nod32, all did a job, but my latest suite is Kaspersky Internet Security 2006 and it's the better by far for me.
I also have Spybot to run once a week as a stand alone spyware checker, and for the few months I have had KIS 2006, Spybot has had nothing to do :)

I don't play online games and I like my gamming pc to have no background tasks (I cut down the install with nlite and it has 15background tasks). I would just prefer to have it like that. People keep mentioning the windows firewall but doesn't that not filter outgoing traffic only incomming?

this is correct, but why would you be concerned about outbound traffic?
3rd party firewall software serves no purpose other than annoying the hell out of you by constantly blocking the applications you want to use and asking ridiculous questions like 'are you sure you want firefox.exe to use port 80'.

Hi I'm trying to buy Zone Alarm but it will not let me pay via Solo because it says the order must be made in GBP (and says select from a drop down menu) but I can't make it GBP because the only payment options are: US Dollars, Canadian Dollars, Australian Dollars?

You must be on ZoneLabs.com? With American pricing? You can goto the UK site by choosing the UK option on the Global sites drop-down menu on the main page of ZoneAlarm.com. I think that is how I ordered ZA Pro by using the UK site and paying in GBP.

If you can't find the site, this is it. http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/home.jsp?lang=en&ctry=GB&dc=56pus
