Best Iphone map / route program,

is there one that is considered to be the best?

its for my other half, she currently uses a tomtom...

When it first came out, I would have said avoid TomTom because it wasn't very good but the revisions have really improved it. I use it now and the traffic reporting (the bit you pay extra for) is superb. I can thoroughly recommend the iPhone TomTom app.

I was sort of trying to avoid that since it was so expensive, are any of the cheaper ones any good?

I use co-pilot. Really can't fault it (or not had a reason too anyway).

I use N-Drive here, very good, cheap and does the job perfectly. Seems there are a few for you to choose from
