best iPhone twitter app?

GUYS YOU ARE ALL WRONG.

I got tweetie and it WAS the best, ever since the update it's hands down no contest more featured packed better interface - Twitterlator Pro - trust me on this ever since the new update a few days ago its the best - only thing tweetie does slightly better is local tweets - however that's just because it can be a bit complicating to figure out in twitterlator pro but it you can set EXACT distance etc etc.

Trust me, check it out - tweetie is still faster to load at the start though.

Tweetie or Twinkle just for the nearby stuff.

If Lounge is as good as its desktop counterpart then it'll be pretty good too.

This, Twittelator Pro is easily the best functioning and (maybe arguably with Twitterific) the best looking.

it has got to be twitterfon. i really didnt like twitterific.
other twitter apps have either been too complicated or too simple
twitterfon has everything you need :)

Despite being happy with Tweetie, I bought Twitterlator Pro due to the above comments (and because a good chunk of the time tweetie was just posting [?] instead of a pic...) Gotta say, don't really see that it has anything over tweetie and doesn't look as good either... Am I missing something?

Just remembered, I use gyazickr to post to flickr and twitter simultaneously as well. That's all it does, though. I don't like twitpic.

i straight up hate the UI for tweetie, and it's wasteful with screen space, twitterific is the best in this regard showing a lot of information clearly, just a shame it doesn't do much else. So in combination twittelator pro has the functionality I was looking for and a UI that doesn't make me angry, although they could still improve it.

Twitterlator pro lets u do a lot more - like bookmarking - you can bookmark sum1 and follow their posts without them knowing lol.

Erm you can set exact distances in search so you could search for all posts within 4.45 miles if you really wanted...

Also just messaging is more advanced - you get an option top copy and paste stuff, use weird symbols an all and the interface looks nicer but not as simple as tweeties.

I've tried tweetie as everyone goes on about it but although it's nice I didn't find it as good as twitterrific for my uses. End of the day I don't think there is a best, depends what you want to do and what interface you like...

That Nearby screen is simply rocking. My only annoyance with Tweetie was that I found the web-browser on it rather prone to crashing. Hopefully that's been addressed.

My only annoyance with Tweetie 2, is the default theme. I prefer black, dark themes like Twitterific's one. Although now that Tweetie 2 is modular, maybe it can be added later? This will once again become my default client. Just waiting on OSX Tweetie 2 now.

My only gripe with it is the theme, I liked the chat bubbles theme previously and it seems a real backwards step to remove the various themes.

Personally I like Echofon Pro, purely because it can sync with the desktop and Firefox plugin versions, so you dont end up reading the same things twice.

It also has push notifications, mind you so does everything these days.

people actually use twitter?? what is it useful for?

i thought it was just the new facebook fad that have too much money to pay radio stations to constantly plug it.
