Best ISO mount daemon ?

Windows 64bit Ultimate.

Installed Power ISO which I've discovered to have horrendous memory leak issues.

I'll try to install my trusted daemon tools again.

Anything else I should try - preferably free ?

If I've understood the question correctly that you want to mount an ISO that's on your hard drive then i'd recommend Virtual Clone Drive.

Another vote for Virtual Clone Drive.

Was using daemon tools but i was having problems with win7, tried VCD and never looked back

Works fine with Win7 64bit

I've used it on Vista 64 Ultimate and currently using on Win 7 Ultimate.

I am another die hard Daemon tools user, but the enthusiasm for Virtual Clone Drive has made me want to go and try it!!

You should, likewise I've been using Daemon tools for years but not no more.

VCD is much leaner, enjoy

Daemon tools is shocking, they can't even make their own driver, and they bundle spyware with the installer. I refuse to use any software that chooses to bundle spyware (even if it is optional)
