I use a Saitek 2500 pad, which I have had for a few years, really comfy and works nicely.

Funny you say that, I have that same controller. It's fairly decent, I am trying to fix a small bug in one of my games if I can do that, I might buy another, maybe a better one (Satiek still)

the sell a 'windows version' which includes a windows driver cd. note you don't have to use the windows version, any 360 wired pad will work on the pc.

I've not had many problems with mine, though for some reason, the blue light on it which used to stay on decided one day to turn off and never come on again....

Ok gone and followed all your advice and soent 25 quid on a xbox 360 pad. I'm using some emulators and none of them will let me use cross shaped pad I have to use the analogue joystick :(

Also when playing streetfighter type games I can map a button to do some thing for me. I.E heavy kick is on LB button which is useless. Is there anyway to map say button B to be heavy kick.

I'm using the MS drivers as the XBCD drivers won't install pad correctly . And I can't find the ini file to change vendor ID's like it suggests on the website .

any help would be great

Thanks in advance

C:\WINDOWS\inf
its a hidden draw but type that in & you will be in the draw then look for XBCD file not the XBCD.PNF.

Without XBCD that pad is useless. I had a similer problem with a NES emu so I created a second profile (this is on XBCD) and binded

Dpad left to X
Dpad right to B
Dpad up to Y
Dpad down to A
I keep start as start and back as select
as for A, B, X, Y, I use the two top buttons (not the trigger ones)

Also with XBCD it allows to make use of the Ring Of Light, pressing the XLive will allow you to switch profiles.

As I said before the controller isn't very good without them drivers. This site should help you set up installing them HERE any problems just ask.

... alternatively you could give Pinnacle Game Profiler a go, I never had luck, so I'd use this as a last resort.

I use a Joytech Neo S Gamepad and it works fine in Street Fighter etc etc..

  • MouseMimik Technology - replicates functions of mouse and keyboard
  • Up to 24 Programmable Actions offering Digital Control
  • 10 Programmable Action Buttons
  • 2 Programmable Thumbstick Buttons
  • 4 point Programmable Directional Pad
  • vibration feedback

Cost approx : £20
