Best looking game out to play now?

Graphics, atmosphere and storyline. It starts okay, but when you meet Bourbon, you soon realise how good this game is.

I agree, fantastic game and atmosphere. Pretty hard too, I'm still stuck at level 4 somewhere but I'm still too scared to go back to it

Crysis 2 with mods looks amazing.

I'm also hoping BF3 is good in the final retail version as I didn't rate the graphics being much different from BC2 in the beta.

I haven't tried Witcher 2 yet, that is on my to-do list.

I nearly bought this in the recent steam day sale but didn't....can you give me a couple of lines why it's so great. Is it a game everyone should own (a bit like half life) or is it just good fun?

I'd say at least take a look at some high quality footage on youtube or buy it when on offer if you are hesitant about spending more money on it. The graphics just have to be seen.

cheers, it's atmoshpere I'm after....will get it next time it's £4. I really like fallout 3 for atmosphere but felt let down with New Vegas (only played it for about 2 hours though)

For graphics, I love walking around bioshock 2, mostly staring at the water.

If there was a mod to make fallout 3 out of this world. I'd play the game again as I only followed the main quest line and felt it was too short.

I wish they released RE1 again

Fallout 3 atmosphere is really good, but because it's so vast, i got bored rather easily when it came to travelling to new places.

In my opinion Metro 2033 is the best single player (story mode) FPS since HL2. Can't wait for the sequel to come out next year. I don't think its anywhere near long enough, and the enemy AI can be a bit strange at times, but overall the game is just absolutely amazing.

+1, Friend of mine asked me if he should buy it and even though i told him a million times to get it he still didn't  all because his brother played about half an hour of it and said it was crap and linear.. :/ clearly knows NOTHINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

Lost Planet 2 in DX11 looks incredible & is a great game. Plays best in Co-Op but still good in SP or MP so much content & the DX11 gfx have to be seen to be believed IMO its still the best looking DX11 game on PC but screenshots/movies do not show you the difference DX11 makes to the improved HDR & Shader FX you have to see/play with your own eyes!

From the sounds of it the next Metro game should be pretty good to look at, lots of things going on, ive had it recommended as a good test of my new gaming rig, so thought id pass that recommendation on.

theres a new texture pack out, notsure if that disables some features or not

metro is linier, but the story is really good, and the atmosphere, and homemade guns :D

Crysis 2 is too 'processed' for me. Over bright, over saturated and smeary. Crysis 1 still has the edge in sheer beauty and realism for me, especially the beaches.
