Best mechanical keyboard for around £100?

I can't comment on the K90 as I have never had a go on one however I have a Qpad Mk-85, it's an very good keyboard.

I have also read very good things about the Gigabyte Osmium.

I love my K90 but corsair are about to release the K95 so if you want to get one i'd recommend waiting for that as that is fully mechanical.

Ah. If the CES promo were still around, I actually highly recommend the Blackwidow Ultimate Stealth 2013.

I love the reds on the corsair but they're a little light for my taste, and like Ohlawll mentioned there's a new K95 out soon which will be fully mechanical.

Another thing to consider is what you'll be using the keyboard for. If only mainly for gaming, then linear switches are great (reds, blacks). But if you do type a bit, then the tactile brown switches are fantastic for both gaming and typing. Many people love the tactile blues too, but I don't personally like them for gaming because the "click" and the actuation point don't align.

A final consideration may be the type of keyboard layout you're looking for - something like the filco tenkeyless which doesn't have a numpad? or the CM Storm Quickfire TK (which has a brilliant design incorporating the arrow keys into a numpad, but is a bit fiddly to use). Or, do you like something with tons of macros like the Corsair, or an in between, like the Razer Blackwidow?

The market's really competitive right now and at 100 quid you can get many different types of mechanical keyboards, depending on your preference. So to find the "best" fit, you should first consider what you're looking for.

Any specific requirements or switches that are liked?

If you want lots of macro keys, a K95 would be the best bet I guess, but just a straight up no nonsense keyboard, i'd stretch to a Filco.
