Best mem for a llano platform?

I won't pretend to know too much about motherboards and memory speeds, but I may be able to help if you told me the motherboard name, and I thought 1600mhz didn't offer much of a speed boost over 1333 mhz at all (1% or something?), so does it really matter that much?

Manually set the RAM timings/voltage to what the label on the stick says if the BIOS has decided to make its own mind up.

Llano is one platform where memory speed scales damn well and increases system performance and also the IGP performance scales well with increased RAM frequency.

I have tried that and just can't get it to run at 1600mhz (it's 9-9-9-21 (1T or 2T) at 1.5V).

Increasing the voltage did not help much so I think it's just bad compatibility.

Yay, blonde moment. how about trying one stick at a time? CPU-Z will tell you the SPD@frequencies of the sticks.

Well I got it working....

By LOWERING the memory voltage!?

Both the CPU and memory expect 1.5V but by lowering it to 1.4V both are happy... I am just glad it is working.
