Best Mini PC Pre Built ??

Thanks mate but I did say its Windows I want, not steam :(, thanks for sharing though :)

Would I maybe be able to install windows on it ?

Sorry I was in a rush hence just the link, the one it's based off that runs windows is the older i5 dual core cpu not the skylake hence posting this one. I have absolutely no doubt it'll run windows 10!

No probs mate :)

Its a real pity they dont seem to have the faster GHz Skylake cpu's yet in the mini pc's like that though, I know they must be either out there somewhere or still to go on sale yet as I seen them a while back on video adverts on youtube etc etc.

The Skylake i5 cpu thats in that zotac mini pc you showed me is a 6th generation cpu but it looks as though it would be awful slow at 6M Cache, up to 2.80 GHz, maybe not though ?, does anyone know how they perform against the likes of an 3rd Gen i7 3770K ?

Put it this way, I would be comparing it to my i7 3770K that I have in my pc just now, but thats only 3rd generation as I say but the stock speed is still 8M Cache, up to 3.90 GHz, I know it may be pretty hard to compare them though but I have no idea what like the 6th Gen ones perform, hmmm ?

I bet there are plus points and negatives to both those cpu's ?

*Edit*- I have been searching for reviews on that new Zotac ZBOX-SN970-P model but I cant find any reviews at all, hmmmm, strange

I see a lot about the new Intel NUC that has the Skylake cpu inside etc (6th generation), its shown on the internet quite a bit, but I just cannot find it for sale anywhere, I have been looking for ages now, hmmm.......does anyone know of any place selling them or something similar with the Skylake 6th Gen cpu setup ? (edit 22nd Nov 2015), or are there plans for overclockers to sell them very soon maybe ?).

There is no mention of competitors of Overclokers so it wouldnt be allowed even if its availiable .

Overlclockers sell Intel Nuc's so whats the big deal ?, still dont think they have the Skylake model yet either though.
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/pc-systems/barebones-pc/intel-nuc

Also, if they dont sell a product that is made then surely its fine for people to discuss such a product device model and the manufacturer ? I can see the point if it was something competing with what overclockers sell but I havent really even mentioned anything like that that I can see.

bump, does anyone know if these or similar are coming very very soon to overclockers or anywhere at all, they have to be as they have been getting mentioned on the internet for many months now and its already near the end of the year, I was thinking maybe they might be coming out for black friday or possibly christmas but I dunno

I had a requirement for a PC in the living room as the smart functions on the TV weren't covering everything we wanted to do.

I ended up getting the HP Pavilion Mini 300-030na. It's an i3, but for web browsing, streaming media and the like, it's perfect (I ended up buying a second a month or so later to replace my secondary machine).
You can buy them from a very well regarded retailer for £300 right now, with a 2 year guarantee. Being that it includes a Windows License I consider it a bargain over something like the Intel NUC.

I don't know that it ticks all your boxes, the specs you're looking for seem really OTT for what you want to use it for - but it seems to fit the bill to me.

If you go with a pav mini you'll really want to nuke it from orbit and reinstall from scratch. It comes with some seriously obnoxious shovelware and I found it ran a great deal smoother after a reinstall.

The aforementioned retailer has versions for both £300 and £350, the pricier one coming with Windows 10, the cheaper with 8.1.
Being that I'd nuke it any way, I know which I'd buy...

@Little Crow, thanks for that matey :), I appreciate what your saying and you find the HP mini product good enough etc, I had a look at it online and as you say its only an i3 cpu (2 core) setup inside etc, well my mrs has a laptop with the i3 cpu setup inside and to me its extremely slow at various things especially the minute you require it to do a slightly heavier job unfortunatley, thats why I have been waiting patiently now and hoping to be able to get some type of mini with the Skylake i5 (4 core) ,as far as I can see they have a serious bit of punch and great graphics etc too, so thats why I am desperate for one, not really caring too much on who the manufacturer is either, I was thinking/hoping that maybe overclockers would release the new skylake ones maybe for black friday and/or christmas etc, but I dont see any sign of them just yet which is strange :(

There is an i5 version with 8GB of memory @£450 if you think the i3 won't be grunty enough - for me that was more than I wanted to pay for the duties it'd perform.
The pav mini's also seem to be a graphics generation behind the NUC's too, which might be another strike against them.

If money is no object then I'd say the NUC leads the pack, maybe there'll be a bit of a stock clearance of G5's for Black Friday, and more G6's on sale shortly after that.

yes mate, I've been scouring everywhere to try and find the 6th Generation ones, but I still dont see them yet anywhere apart from lots of adverts and you tube things etc saying how good they are and all that stuff, tired of waiting to be honest, lol.

Edit/update......Oh no, I think after looking again now that I am going to have to buy a slightly larger mini pc as I can see even the 6th Generation cpu setups in the likes of the nuc's appear to only be 2 core :( , I really want something that is 6th generation but with the 4 cores, hmmm , I think this has forced me into a situation right now of getting something slightly larger.

I really liked the look and idea of the little nuc's etc but with just 2 core cpu's I dont like it much now although they will still be good for a lot of folks, plus they are literally maintanance free to, so now it defo looks like its going to have to be something maybe a little bit larger in order to get the specs I am after (6th gen with 4 cores) plus I would much much better prefer as close to zero maintance as possible and in a nice looking box/case that wouldnt look out of place on a living room table where everyone can see it.
