Best Mixer for Jack Daniels?

Equal measures of JD and Cointreau (or Grand Marnier), a good measure of lemon juice, a little sugar and top it up with lemonade to make a Lynchburg Lemonade. Enjoy !

i feel the need to post the obligatory

decent malt > american dishwater.

But the thing with malts is that they change so much from bottle to bottle, the different regions of scotch vary as much as wines.

I for one really like Speyside single malt, but some seem to think they are too bland and prefer the island malts as they have a very strong distinct taste.

Each to his own I guess, but Jack is nice imo.

Bourbon != Whisky.

Pretentious Whisky types for the lose.

For a bourbon to mix with coke, Jim Beam Black (double and a bit, single ice cube, splash of coke) is head and shoulders above JD.

Neat, cheap bourbon - JB White or Johnnie Blue/Black.

Single barrell sour mash for sipping.

its not a proper whiskey its like southern comfort thats also called "whiskey" but its a liqour/ bourbon.

JD is a sour mash whiskey. Soco's not a whiskey, you're right, but it doesn't claim to be...

I prefer Jim Beam white to JD, and JB Black wipes the floor with both of them imo.

See if we are going for bog standard off the shelf stuff, Makers Mark is probably my favourite.
