My Nexus 5 met a terrible fate so I'm looking for a new phone around the £200 mark. Preferably I'd like it to be around the same size as the Nexus 5 (for my little boy hands :p) and it has to be unlocked. The Nexus 5X seems like a decent option these days as I remember it being too expensive for what it was in comparison to the 6P when first released but it seems to have dropped a considerable amount since then.

Any other options to consider?

The 5X will be a good replacement, but keep in mind that the 5X is a bit bigger than the 5, largely due to the front-facing speaker and the slightly larger screen. See here for a size comparison.

I noticed it was a bit bigger, but looking at your link it seems like the screen and the width of the phone is only a fraction taller/wider with most of the extra size being at the top for the speaker so it should feel similar when using it.

Another option, might be a bit older, but almost around same price - LG G4. Vodafone have been selling it for ~£225 I believe with the red leather. Using the same size comparison tool it seems pretty much the same size.

Archos claim it will start at £199. If true (and I'd wait for some reviews) it could be a bargain.

As someone who has worked for a retailer that sold Archos products I cannot stress highly enough how poor they are. Not just in terms of build quality but also in terms of customer service.

If your product needs to be repaired/replaced it'll get sent to a pointless warehouse in the UK. It'll stay there for anywhere between two days and 4 weeks until they have got enough faulty units then the batch gets shipped a European repair center where it'll probably be replaced, eventually. None of the "customer service representatives" will know where the unit is for the entire duration of course.
