I've just installed songbird as I've just formatted, and I've got to say I'm pretty impressed. I've used Winamp for years, and also iTunes for my iPod.
Songbird has most the things I like about iTunes, but it feels lightweight a responsive like Winamp. Too top it off it's got iPod support, so I think it will be keeping it's place on my system for a while. Only functionality I will loose is being able to put videos on my iPod.
On the other page someone said the older version of songbird was using 300MB of ram, I can confirm the newer version is using 50MB on XP64. Hopefully they will keep adding new features, only thing I don't like is not being able to minimise to tray and none of the addons I've tried have been updated to work with this version of songbird.
