i think I read on mess.be that there isn't a Block checker currently and the only way to check is through "social engineering"

It's ringing up the bakery and telling them your sending a health and saftey food tester down to check for bad food and then going to the shop in question and getting free food.

the only way to tell is either by asking others that have them on their list, or simply create a new account (http://get.live.com/getlive/overview ) and add them on there.

You can get things to tell you if someone is online or not.
If they've blocked you and they are online, it will show as they're online, then you know you are blocked.
But if they're offline then it doesn't help.

They havnt worked in ages, and generally rely on Privacy settings being turned off (the old default setting), which is now changed in newer versions.

MSN ghost used to tell you stuff like that, when they've deleted you and if they're appearing offline and stuff like that. It told you everything but I haven't used it in absolute ages. You could take pictures of other peoples webcams and steal their display pic too which was quite funny.
