Best New Smartphone I can get for £350

Nokia 8 looks like the best choice so far as two people suggested that one, also I can totally see why it would be a waste to spend an extra £100 as I have heard mid range smart phones are really good these days.

I was very impressed with the way the performance of the Nokia 8 looked on youtube reviews, and the saving of some money, so went with that in the end from Argos. Lack of bloatware would be great, I think the performance is really important since I will be using it all day every day. Think I liked least about it was the old style hard home button, but I suppose it doesn't matter a lot and I shouldn't be buying the phone just as a status symbol, rather for practical reasons that can help me with work. I spent bit extra on an official S8 book/folding leather case because the one on my SIII has saved the phone many times.

And thanks for everyones help. It just goes to show how difficult it is to make a good decision when buying a smartphone these days.

Ive found that most times they are like new, unlike Music Magpie which is a complete lottery

Cheers, tempted by a mate 10 grade A none pro version, only other option is Aliexpress and the long wait but it would be new for the same price. (none pro is for the headphone jack and 16/9 screen)

Just for info really, "A" graded Mate 10 (none pro ) arrived today from CEX, everything was as "new" could not tell it was not a brand new phone.(box had some very small marks on the outside)
All I can say is what a phone for 300 stunning.(even like the colour mocha brown)

Nice one :)

I loved my Huawei P9 but the audio was utter carp on headphones, and the headphones they come with are carp as well..

That plus no headphone socket on the newer models makes Huawei a no go for me now.. I got an LG g6 and the audio is loads better..

One thing that annoys me about most phone reviews when it comes to audio is that they focus on the loudspeaker rather than plugged into headphones

Is it just me that does not like the 2 to 1 screen size they are all pushing now, 16/9 just looks right plus most things are still in 16/9.
Real pain that the did not distribute the Mate 10 to the UK, made them harder to get.

16/9 just works.

Pixel2 v Mate10.

I much prefer 2:1 screens actually. It's possible to watch 21:9 video and lose barely any of the picture while filling the screen and there's a lot more visible screen when the keyboard is visible. Each to their own but I wouldn't go back to a 16:9 phone now unless I had no choice.
