10MB or 10Mbps?
assuming it's the latter and you found a service to max out the line, 1.2MB/s is still epically slow. even wireless G is 3 times faster and i can't bear to use that shifting around a few files at home.Best Online Backup

Yes it is the latter. If I could have attained a steady rate of at least 1MB/s I could have been done well within a week, but as it was 1MB/s only happened for short periods. The rest of the time it dropped to half that at best.
These online services are fine if you don't have much to backup or only wish to send really important things up to "the cloud". Otherwise I would just use a USB drive and keep it somewhere away from the computer.
