Whats everyones preference out there? Ive gone simply from Emule/Edonkey to Torrent, and use Utorrent suits my needs perfectly but is there any better and at what prices?
Newsgroups indeed. For p2p you've made mostly the right choice - uTorrent, followed by an eMule mod for the win. I've recently switched back to newsgroups and though some stuff is a little harder to get hold of than on torrents (and of course, the opposite is true too), it's so much nicer in terms of speed the idea of switching back doesn't fill me with joy.
Also when people talk about getting searches on usenet/newsgroups is it more difficult to find stuff or better then say torrent ie apps/clips/movies etc etc ? I use emule for searches since it often finds the rare/hard to find stuff yet its not so good for larger files I find to torrent.
I was gonna go rapidshare which is like 35-40 quid I think per year and gives relative good searches if not better then torrent but then 25gig limit per week..... once u throw the word 1080p into that its pointless
Utorrent for p2p, but id agree with the above, Newsgroups is the way to go.
Im on Newshosting, 110 day retention, its unlimited, has SSL included, and also a download accelerator (which ive never used yet as i always get my max speeds anyway), its only $19.95 a month, which works out about £10 here, or a few pence over (as ive just had this months bill).

I'm with giganews and it's very good. I don't use SSL so it's the same price for 200 days retention and unlimited transfers. I guess it depends on whether or not SSL is important to you
