which products work the best at making them patios look brand new again? I tried jeyes and karcher so far and jeyes was really dissapointing.

It's for sandstone btw and concrete flooring

In the past I've just used bleech on indian sandstone. Mixed it up in a bucket and brushed it over with a stiff brush and then washed it off and it came up a treat, saves buying expensive products. If you then keep on top of the cleaning you can keep it looking good as new without using harsh cleaning products.

Wet and Forget <<<<< you will read up about it and think its some sort of gimmick, but it is amazing stuff, will take weeks before you start seeing a difference, gave the slabs in the back garden 2x coats, a month or so apart, and it's been 4 years now, and nothing has came back

Grab some Sodium Hypochlorite (super strong bleach) its what professional cleaners use on driveways and patios
Have a look on youtube and Amazon for reviews

You really just can't beat a good power washer, regardless of how awful they are for the environment.

I scrub our patio with a broom and Jeyes for several back breaking hours and sometimes wish I had a power washer :p.

Thanks for the suggestions

funnily enough
Most of these products on aaamaazon will take more than a week or so to arrive haha
Prob everyone doing the same thing as me.

I got a pressure washer also and that works ok

I use a product called 'Block Blitz' that works pretty well on our block paving. Just dissolve it in a watering can and apply. As with other products mentioned it does take a while for effects to show up and you need to be sure of a couple of dry days after applying for it to work.

Pressure washer is a messy job I really prefer to avoid :(

Bleach is sodium hypochlorite. The professional stuff is 15% strength whilst the jog standard supermarket bleach is usually about 5%.

For a small domestic job I’d just buy a few bottles of standard bleach and brush it neat onto the patio. Let it sit for a good half hour then thoroughly rinse it off. Don’t do it when it’s hot and sunny, keep children and animals off it while the bleach does its job, and don’t get any on your grass or plants.

I found jeyes useless and it's pretty dangerous to pets too.

For an 'instant' clean, I also just use bleach mxed with water about a 40/60 mix. Pour it over, brush it around a bit and leave it for an hour or so. Then I just rinse it with a hose.

The patio attachments on pressure washers are good but if destroys the mortar / sand between the slabs on our block paving so I stopped using it.

That. It's high concentrated bleach. I mix it 50/50 (you could do much less) spray it on. Quick brush and then rise off.

I use it all the time at work.

If you cant get any of that local to you just get 3/4 bottles of cheap bleach, mix with a bit of water and pour on the area, bush it around and leave it a hour, then rise off.

EDIT: if the area is really bad you will need a jetwasher first. But once it's had a good blast you can just use bleach every year and it will get it looking good

Sounds unpleasant, the patio cleaners I've used in the past are diluted hydrochloric acid its relatively harmless might sting a bit like vinegar just needs a lot of brushing.

Pressure washers for the win though not for whats the name, block paving? Those blocks that look like bricks on driveways etc they usually just have sand brushed between the blocks and pressure will wash the lot out.

Why are they bad for the enviroment aside from a bit of electricity and water?
A bit?! How many millions (billions?) of litres of drinking quality water are wasted washing things that don't actually - if we're being honest - need washing? People washing their patios, driveways and cars for godsakes when the reality is they could all be done with much less water and a bit of elbow grease, and quite frankly who on earth needs to wash their car?

Yes there are far worse wastages of water, but things like power washing/hose washing patios and cars... jeeze.
