That's £5.11 a month; I assume he wants it pay as you go because he uses wifi the majority of the time and would only spend a few pounds a year for 3G?

They vary in price from £9 to £11 at various places.

3GB which lasts 3 months or until it is all used, whichever is sooner. Works out as ~£40 for the year.

Ive ordered a giffgaff sim, then realised my tablet is wifi only
