Again, agreed. It is simply stunning. The game was designed to be modded. It isn't a game that can be modded, it was meant to simply demonstrate its abilities in terms of graphics, physics etc and how easily mods can be produced.malc30 said:The current Best PC game without a doubt in my humble opinion is RFactor.

Being an F1 fan I am eagerly awaiting the F1 mod from the CTDP crew. The current best F1 game is GP4. One major drawback of GP4 is that all the cars have the same physics. You can't change them so that McLaren and Renault physics are better than the Midlands etc. Well rFactor allows each car/team to have its own physics.

Glad to see a fair few RSC members here!!

A-ha! A fellow Dream Theater fan Hello to you!.
I haven't "joined" RSC but I do check it occasionally. Some of the rFactor mods are quite stunning. I currently play the GP2 mod on my rFactor install. As much as I love GP4 once the CTDP F1 2005 mod comes out I will NEVER touch GP4 again.Octavarium said:Ditto all previous rFactor comments - those who rate 'arcade' games higher are uneducated!

Another game that is quite good is LFS (Live For Speed). It is in three stages of development with S1 and S2 out now. You can buy a licence for S1 only or S1 and S2. You have to buy S1 to get S2. You get loads of tracks and multi configurations for all tracks as well as lots of different kind of cars.
The graphics aren't as good in LFS as rFactor but according to the LFS thread the graphics aren't as good as they could be to allow the downloads of the demo/S1/S2 licences to be smaller and thus the graphics should be better when S3 is released.
rFactor is still the best by a few country miles though.
Yeah I agree. I bought LFS because another forum I visit had a few posts about it and I thought I'd try it out. rFactor is the finished product albeit it with patches and mods being released by the rFactor people. LFS is still a work in progress so it makes sense to concentrate on rFactor for the moment.Octavarium said:LFS does look good to me, but I don't have the cash to buy lots of different sims, so I'm just sticking with rF for now.

and before you say anything I know there are better DT albums. But "Scenes from a memory" as a forum name? Er, no I don't think so!!
