best PCI-E 1x device?

can you recomend me a PCI-E device, for my empty pci-e 1x slot.

are there any sound cards (decent ones) or tv tuners (that have video-in) that use this slot?

or any other wacky things?

I remember seeing a product from the Computex 2007 coverage. It was some kind of Intel product that fit in the small PCI-E (was either 1x or 4x) and basically it was meant to massively reduce hard drive loading and/or lag. I just can't remember the name of the product, and they probably aren't out yet.

oww.... i though a wifi card would have added wifi capabilities to ** pc, like an access point, even when ** pc is turned off.

i dont go to lan parties, and havent ever lanned up with someone, so if its got anythign to do with that, count me out

Yes but it has been on pre order for months and is hardly if any better than on-board sound.

Not to mention creative's 'awesome' driver support.
