Best place for cable?

So, like the title really..

I see OCUK do a lot of pre-made cables, but i need a box/reel so i can make up custom lengths and it needs to be pulled without plugs on...

Can anyone recommend a retailer on the high street? Ideally not online but if theres a very good company then feel free to recommend

Solid core or stranded?

Cat5e, Cat6 or Cat6a?

The fact that OcUK sells network cables will make almost everywhere that sells cable a competitor, and mentioning them would therefore be beyond the pale.

If you're looking for a brand then Excel should be a safe bet. A 305mtr box of solid core Cat5e shouldn't cost more than £60. Higher spec. cable, or stranded, will cost more.

If you want to buy on the street look at the big diy sheds, or your local electrical factors.
