Best place to get Spares for a Van

Hi

I need spares for a renault traffic , new gearbox

Renault garage is quoting me

£2000 for supply and fit for a new gearbox, saying it will take 8 hours labour ! 8 hours labour my arse

You'd be surprised how long these new vans take to work on. Mate of mine just had to replace the sump on a 56 plate somethingorother (it was big and white and wasn't a transit) and it books as a 17 hour job! Sump is blocked by the front subframe, so you need to lift the engine forwards. To lift the engine forwards you need to remove the entire front end of the van, bumper, slam panel, radiator, the lot.

Really miss working on a Bedford Rascal

Ended up being £780 but it comes with 2 years warranty, paying £350 to fit it so not bad i dont think

Thats a good price and the fitting sounds about right considering the scope of the job.
