Best platform game on PC?

Ori and the Blind Forest is great, looks beautiful, lovely music, plenty of variety in moves, and it's bloody hard!

Second this. At first it was fairly simple, but 3 hours into it and you'll be pulling your hair out.

After seeing a couple of rayman legends recommendations i downloaded the demo to check it out, not played a platformer since.....probably superfrog (yes I know theres a HD version). However my xbox 360 pad doesnt seem to work in the demo, even tho in the controls it says things like analogue stick up/down, is there a setting I've missed or does this game just not work with joypad?

Rayman Origins/Legends and Oddworld: New'n'tasty.

However, I strongly recommend Rayman 2: The Great Escape and Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc if you don't mind older games. The atmosphere and level design in those games is simply beautiful, they're even better than Origins/Legends and still my favourite platformers.

Found the answer to no joypad in Rayman legends, had to unplug my razer orbweaver to get it to work, hardly ideal, but it works, will have a proper try of the demo tomorrow hopefully.

I really enjoyed Thomas was alone when I played it. Pretty short but very enjoyable and has great narration over from Steve Merchant.
