I stuggle to get a tv signal round my house, so I was wondering what is the best prgrom I can use to watch normal hd freeview channels and possibly recored and pause live tv?

Was going to try XBMC, but dont have a clue how to set it up. Needs to be easy to use for the missies and the kids.

Once you've set up the TV back-end software somewhere on the network, then having a box with XBMC in each room makes it very easy to use.

Check out the XBMC thread - there's lots of detail in there on setting up XBMC and I've posted a few times about my TV solution, which uses Argus-TV on my server.

If your basic problem is a poor signal, I don't see how a PC will improve things, at least if you want to watch/record OTA Freeview broadcasts.

Perhaps you could explain exactly what you want to do a little more clearly?

Sorry basiclly what I would like to do is stream it of the web using a program which is easy to use insted of using internet explorer. If it can recorded and pause tv to that would be great.

I suppose something like TV Catchup is the most appropriate, unless you have a source of UK TV that is IP based... I don't think any company has a direct IPTV based distribution method yet.
