My PC is causing me nightmares. First GPU fries itself and so I put an old one in to test it. Works fine so ordered new GPU.

Since old one went in PC keeps turning itself of and on a few times then eventually boots and BIOS tells me my overclocking has failed so I reset to failsafe settings. Same thing happens each time but when Xp boots up everything seems to work fine.

Now my RAM could be buggered (Corsair 2 x 1gb DDR2) and I have already reset the CMOS on the mobo to no avail. I have taken one stick out, swopped them both into the other slots, same thing on boot up.

I need to test my ram but there seems to be a lot of programs out there.

Which is the best and easiest for a computing tard like me?

Thanks guys but my problems have now doubled...........

Copied memtest onto disc, rebooted pc (with it soing its usual of turning itself off and on a few times) to get it to boot from the disc. Set it to boot from disc and now it is in a loop of turning itself off and on. I just wont boot at all now. :(

Did you just copy it to a disk? Don't you have to burn it properly... wouldn't know to be honest as all the times i've used it it has been on a Linux CD.

Yeah I did burn it properly but as pc keeps turning itself off and on so fast cant even eject the disc.

Just unplugged the disc drive, took out battery for 10 minutes and still wont turn on properly. off and on, off and on.
