Hello so my system is set up in the bedroom but my partner complains about the fan noise so after some advice on what's best fans and setup.

I have
Case -Pure Base 500 Midi
Mobo - MSI B450 GAMING PRO
Cpu - AMD Ryzen 5 3600
GPU - Gigabyte Radeon RX 5700 XT Gaming OC 8GB

So what would you guys suggest to keep it cool and quiet? Wondered if a AIO CPU cooler would be better? I'm interested in water cooling but I'm new to that so worry I would mess it up lol. I don't need lights or colours in my case.

Thank you for any advice and help people

Arctic Liquid Freezer II, i have the 280 version and its silent, keeps my 5800X under control easily.

Also Arctic P series fans, very cheap but some of the best fans ive ever used, move a crazy amount of air while being impressively quiet.

i tried the artic fans, bought 9 6 died in first year

TT bought 9 4 died in first year
Noctua bought 9 12 years ago 1 has started rattling rest are fine

This is my set up and what I have. Noctua sounds like a good idea. If I get an AIO cooler should I have that as the intake at the front?
With this set up it so loud when fans are on high so all help appreciate

When gaming but I enjoy gaming all hours so need to make it more quiet.
I think the main issue is the front fans to be honest. I did think about removing the dust filter from the front so the front fans don't work so hard to pull in air?

They come with a 10 year warranty. Did they deal with it well? Are the other 5 going and you were unlucky? (Tho that sounds a bad ratio 4 out of 9)

was going to send them off but in the end after the 5th died i was like But would I really want another 5 fans that die in that short time frame? so ended up in the trash
2 of the others rattle, vibrate rest are ok...

again all the TT are fine

Noctuas are perfectly fine my first fan bearing is starting to go on start up it rattles but after its at speed it stops so worst case 1 out of 9 but thats 12 odd years

Maybe removing unused PCIe slot covers and unplugging top exhaust fan would improve front to back airflow around GPU for lower temps.

Could you lower fan temp to rpm curve so it quieter, or does that raise component temps too high?

Apparently my pic url didn't work

Hopefully you can click that to see my system pic
I expect you can resolve the excessive noise without buying anything.

Are your fans using silent motors meaning the only noticeable sound they produce is from the increasing airflow noise produced when RPM is increased? I suspect all of them will be silent motor fans including the GPU fans.

I suggest you test your CPU and case fans by configuring the BIOS fan control for all fans except the corsair front fans to their lowest speed and use the Smart Mode BIOS fan control for your corsair fans and set them to an inaudible speed for up to 30c CPU temp and then somewhat faster up to 50c and so on for 60c and finally 75c which should be the max speed you are willing to accept noise wise.

Test using hwinfo64 to get an idea of PC usage max temperatures for the CPU and the GPU and then increase the RPM of your exhaust fans to an acceptable level where necessary to keep temps under control.

At some point had 19 x P12 and none have died, worked for few years across different builds and eventually replaced them, more for aesthetics than performance.
Their weak spot is the 1000ish rpm noise.
The beQuiet Pure Wings, (8-10ish pounds) was quieter closer to grill, but not by much).
Tried the Silent Wings (which I currently use on the Dark Rock Pro 4 and they're whisper quiet up to 70%), and they are very quiet, but not cheap.
I was pleasantly surprised with the Corsair LL. Owned AF fans ages ago and they were trash, but back then it was more about absolute performance than silence (similar to Thermaltake Turbofans). The LL was available at a nice price somewhere, and the performance/noise was quite good, at least when using the Corsair 5000D Airflow.
Tried some Phanteks and considering their price, very poor.
If you're only after cooling the CPU, Dark Rock Pro 4 will be very quiet.
Or if you're after an AIO, if the extra thickness of the radiator isn't an issue, Arctic Freezer II.
Tried the last expensive Corsair AIO and the pump high pitch was annoying, regardless of speed.
When the whole system was dead quiet, the pump was audible. When under load, all I could hear was the acceptable airflow from the fans, but still able to hear the pump.
AIO I would only go with the Arctic.

Which Phanteks fans?

Obviously Arctic P12 and P14 are not as well built as fans costing 3-5 times more, but they are quite good with very low price.

These https://www.overclockers.co.uk/phanteks-ph-f120sp-120mm-fan-black-white-fg-016-pt.html, also the 14cm versions.
The Arctic are great for the price. If running up to 800-900rpm, no problem.
Most fans will be noisy at high rpm, but as clear as I'm trying to describe, high airflow noise is ok. Not unpleasant, but when you car hear something as if the fan is unbalanced, or as if it is increasing/decreasing its speed very bast, fractions of seconds, despite voltage being constant, that is what I try to avoid.
As each fan is different, better spend some time and find the sweet spot with everything else turned down.
D5 water pumps are the same. Sometimes increasing from 40% to 50% solve noise issue, despite expecting higher rpm to be noisier.
