Best racing game on 360?

PGR3 great game, loved it since the dreamcast version (msr) addicted to the xbox 1 versions and then 360 version greate online aswell.

Only played abit of Burnout Revenge and Test Drive Unlimited as i just had them a few days - Burnout love that game for the crashes etc, TDU seemed good but never got a chance to get into it much.

Do you have any local video stores that rent games out, saves on downloading a demo that isnt always finished code, and you get to play the full game (well for 2 days atleast).

Try the demo for TD:U on Live and decide for youself if it's realistic. Personally I don't think you can go wrong with PGR3 and you can get it under £20.

I hope gtr comes out at the same time because thats supposed to be march as well.

A mate of mine preordered his today in Newcastle and was told that it might be put back till may. We shall just have to wait and see i suppose.

MOTO GP

As much as the tearing and framerate are issues, its the only true racing game on the 360 tbh

MotoGP is in no way shape or form a motorbike sim. I'm assuming you don't ride a motorbike.

In GP6 you can use the front brakes in corners, no sign of the bike standing up or the front wheel breaking away from you, nothing like reality im afraid.

If they made it a genuine sim, I doubt most would be able to get a bike around the track without a purpose built controller (ie: a bike).

You'd need controls for weight distribution in 4 directions, directional steering (you actually make the handlebars go in the opposite direction you want to turn on a bike) and analogue front and rear brakes and throttle as a minimum and all those things have to work together. ie: steer right, weight left to make a left turn, constant throttle to maintain the apex of the turn etc... Very very hard to do a bike sim tbh.

I didn't say it was a motorbike sim

Oops, sorry mate, its was the previous few posts that were going on about arcade type race gaming vs more realistic ones. I took your post to mean that GP6 was realistic. My bad. Muchos apologies.

Heehee, had me worried there lol

What i ment was it was the only racing, racing game on the 360. i.e. no faffing about with cones and time trials etc. A good old fashioned just shut up and race game :D

n1 for all the replies :o Think i'm just gonna hold it out till forza or something else. U reckon they will do any F1 racing games for 360? Imagine that online be absolutely amazing!

Sony hold the rights to F1 games, but i think that expires in the next year or 2? Wouldn't be surprised to see it be given out to someone like EA though. But i think Sony have done a good job with it over the years.

The closest you would get will be a new TOCA Race Driver game, and that having F1 style. Or even if they bring out a champ car game. But no Formula 1 soon.
