Had the same thing mate. First time they said it was single, then next time it was dual, then they finally verified it by the extension number. Their customer service is a bit of a mess.

Not just the customer service department, just change the sodding part number for single and dual rank fgs! This gave me a full on headache IRL trying to figure it out. Impossible to make a hardware recommendation when the purchase is a lucky dip...

There’s a minor performance penalty going with 4 sticks, but it’ll guarantee dual rank operation, which makes a big difference.

First column, the part number, it ends in the code that means its single rank, but also under the "organisation" section it says 1 rank

I purchased 32gb of that 3600 c16 ram a few weeks back and got the dual rank version. Interestingly, though, mine are listed as Ballistix Black

I honestly doubt there's even any pattern to when/why they use Rev B or Rev E at this point, its probably just whatever they have lying around at the time. If they're doing a manufacturing run of stock for the top end sticks or 32gb sticks the rest of the range probably end up with rev B for a few weeks as it will all make the 3200 and 3600 bins anyway. If they run low on 8gb sticks and do a run of rev E to build stocks back up then I expect you'll have a few weeks where they'll use Rev E everywhere they can for the same reason. Sad times for enthusiasts - if you're looking for 16gb dual rank sticks for efficiency or if you're looking for 16gb single rank sticks to clock higher you have to be lucky to get what you want. A few places will list the appendment to the part number but none of those are enthusiasts stores, they're all business providers and distributors so are either inaccessible to the public or not price competitive.
