best ram for performance

DDR3 is only worth it on AM3, i5 and i7 systems tbh. And you only really see the bandwidth improvement when running heavy, heavy load apps on an i7 rig. That CAS9 cheapo DDR3 is likely no faster or even slower than the RAM you have.

1066mhz 5-5-5-15 for the win.

evil you have same board as me, with hyper x 1066 what settings would u use
just abit unsure gonna order 4gig of hyper x

Just manually set the

memory timming to 5-5-5-15

Frequency to 1066Mhz

Voltage to 2.2V

In the the bios. Most motherboard's auto detect 1066 ram as 800.
So best manually set this to make sure mate :)

id keep it stock 1066, the bios and the volt settings anoys me setting them up on this "/

glad you chose the hyper x though, i too am in the same situation but realise it would sort of be pointless what with me only haveing a conroe, DDR3 on my next build i think :D
