There seem to be a lot now, it's getting complicated, the Basilisk, Deathadder Elite, Mamba, Lancehead etc. etc.

Mainly play FPSs, right-handed, just need those two buttons that increase/decrease sensitivity and at least one thumb button.

What's the difference between all these mice, is it just the lights!?

Any recommendations?

If it has to be razer, I'd probably say the Basilisk or the good old Deathadder - if you can afford to, buy them both on the rainforest & see how you get on; just keep the one that fits your hand/ grip style the best.

Out of interest, is there a particular reason why it has to be razer? There are plenty of decent, right-handed FPS mice out there from the likes of Logitech, Zowie etc.

It's what some Streamers / Youtubers hammer into people due to sponsorship and don't forget the RGB /s.

They use the same optical sensor. 3389.

Yes my razer mamba went wonky two months short of the 2 year warranty and they have agreed to replace it with any razer mouse. Was well impressed with the rma process - they didn't even make me go through the hassle of posting it to them and having to go to a post office and all that crack - just asked me to cut the cord on the mouse (which felt so wrong to do!) and send them a pic showing the product no. Best rma ever!

Glad the RMA procedure was smooth - as you'll probably be seeing a lot of it :p

In all seriousness haven't used a Razer product in awhile but the rate I went through Deathadders, etc. back in the day I couldn't recommend them - my Zowies usually give at least 2 years of hard use before they start to show signs of the wear.

Now it makes sense :) fair play to them for a decent RMA procedure at least - I'd say the Deathadder would be a good shout!

Iv'e had 3 different Razer mice and 2 have broke. The boomslang (years ago), imperator and deathadder. The Imperator holds the record for the shortest lifespan of any product I've ever owned and the replacement also broke at around 3 months and I gave up. I never could get used to the deatheradder shape.

If you are playing competitive games like csgo overwatch etc or games relying on super control like pubg the you don't want a Razer mouse but if you're playing single player fps games then itll do ok but who knows how long it will last which such a poor history with quality issues.

Like somebody said above you need the one that fits your hand and that's comfy for you which is a real pain in the ads trying to find.

Zowie mice handily come in all different sizes which makes it easier and they have no drivers which is good but they dont have the dpi switch at the top.
