best recent assasins creed game ?

ok thats good to know, i have an i5 4690k and gtx 970, but i am upgrading to a top end gaming machine later this year, is there a new creed game coming out in 2019 ? or 2020 possibly ?
 
Agree with comment, both are amazing games, was good Ubi took a step back before going into origins.

Next Assasins Creed game is likely in 2020 rather then this year I expect. They have planned content for next 12 weeks (final 2 chapters in Atlantis story Arc DLC), so early part of 2020 makes sense.
 
They kinda got a bit **** after AC Brotherhood tbh. They ruined the combat system in the later ones and made it in to just a hack and slash game.
 
I had a blast exploring Egypt in Origins, one of the best maps I've seen in a game. I'm a sucker for those unique historical settings they do.

It wasn't a perfect game but the setting just tied everything together for me. Odyssey was good as well but too big and repetitive after a while. I found Egypt more magical to explore.
 
Personally, I think Odyssey is the best game in the series.

I loved the first, and the Ezio trilogy. I really liked Black Flag. While Origins and Odyssey are quite a significant departure from the early games, they are simply excellent RPGs. Of the two, Odyssey wins for me, simply because the setting is amazing. Greek mythology is so rich, and the world is dripping with it.
 
Oddesey is good. As mentioned prior it is long. Good money's worth.

I've tried every one of AC games except for Origins and never had my interest piqued enough to stick playing any of them since Brotherhood, then along comes oddesey and I'm hooked.

Personally I think Odyssey is one of the best games I've ever played, full stop.

Amazing combat, setting, visuals and the map is HUGE with always something to find. I haven't played Origins but for me Odyssey is the best out of all of them. And I say this a massive fanboy of the Ezio trilogy as I think he's one of my favourite game characters ever (plus all the trailers to AC2, Brotherhood and Revelations were epic)

The only AC games I never got along with was AC3 and Black Flag. I never completed Unity, may go back to it. Syndicate was great
 
Odyssey is good and I love Greek mythology as well but Egyptian edges it out slightly for me and I think Egypt in Origins was simply a better looking and designed map with less reused assets. Odyssey really overdoes it with identical camps, tombs and is overall too big for its own good etc.

Animations for some reason were better in Origins and had weight, same for the combat even though it was less developed than in Odyssey.

Odyssey excels in better RPG elements and proper dialogue choices though and still looks great. Also, value for money is excellent.
 
Odyssey and Origins are bothe excellent. For me, though I prefer the Egypt setting, I now think Odyssey is better and honestly one of the best games I've ever played.

Of the older games, Syndicate is excellent and vastly underrated imo.

Black Flag - People saying how great it is...Have you played it recently? It is appalling. Nonsensical story, horribly restrictive gameplay with no imagination. I wouldn't play it again if someone payed me. It is peak generic Ubisoft, and Ubisoft deserve a lot of credit for recognising this and improving the games that came after it. Unity, the game after it, was where things started to imrprove(though it was a technical disaster)

I played Unity years after release with bugs ironed out and it still looked great, the atmosphere was amazing.

As above, Syndicate is also worth playing.

This. Both were great, Origins still edges it for me based on the setting.

I have enjoyed them all. Syndicate and Unity were great (I didn't play on release and all of the bugs have since been fixed).
 
Yeah then either keep the subscription going or just cancel once you receive your games for $12
 
Ass Creed Odyssey is right up there with the best games I've ever played.

Graphically it's stunning, gameplay spot on and content, well I'd say there's too much to do but in a good way.

Go buy it.
