Best router for BT infinity?

Whats the best router for VDSL?

An all in one router mate. Like the HH5 but just better all around really.

I'd probably give the new Netgear D6400 a try.

Can't recommend the ASUS DSL-AC68U as it's unstable on mine and many others connections.

Swapped my HH5 for a Fritzbox 7490. Great improvement for me.

The problem with Asus and Routers are that they are slow to update firmware and they can also be bit sloppy when they do leaving broken code. When they do get is wright they are some of best Routers going so never buy the latest model always give it 12 to 18 months.

we use draytek 2830n's here at work and at home with bt infinity and plus net fibre might be just out of budget though

I have a Draytek 2860n on plusnet fiber, very stable router.

Agreed, any Broadcom chipset based modem router will work best, there are some non BCM ones that will work as well, good read here http://forum.kitz.co.uk/index.php/topic,15283.msg284199.html#post_compatible about G.INP compatible models.

I have both the ASUS and the Netgear mentioned, the Netgear is just as fast and more stable.

However the 2860 does seem to have a good rep and with the latest firmware it is supposed to work well with G.INP etc now, need to use v2860_3782_vector2.zip I believe.

Would be interesting to see what the 2860ac is like.

My 2860 has had G.INP both TX and RX for about 2 months now. It's been totally solid and I connect on fast path always. My upload is fastest it's been in over 18 months.

Prior to above 2860 had G.INP on RX only for about 6 months, then a patch was released that allowed G.INP on TX also. v2860_3782_vector2.zip is latest patch for both TX and RX G.INP.

The 2860ac offers 5GHz WiFi over 2860n. On my 2860n I run the WiFi at only 10% power, and it covers my 4 bedroom house and garden.
