This would be Zelda: The Ocarina Of Time right? ;)

Just got Oblivion and am moderately enjoying it.. then i remembered Zelda on the N64 and how darn good it was

do you think the same? or do you disagree?

I prefer FF7 but really I couldn't compare FF7 to OOT because they're different styles of RPGs, and they both represent the pinnacle of RPG goodness when it comes to that kind (FF7 for turn based console RPG and OOT for action RPG).
Then again Chrono Trigger would come bloody close for FF7 style RPG :o

Bah, I love em all :D

The best RPG I've ever played and finished is Phantasy Star 4 on the Mega Drive, was an absolute quality game and still one of my favourites ever. Oblivion may well replace it though, I'm loving it right now, but we'll see how I feel after I eventually finish it.

Loving it so much he won't play Burnout! ;)

Despite the genius of Oblivion, I still have fond memories of Faxanadu on the NES. One of the few games I had, but lasted a long time. Great stuff.

For me the best is KOTOR, because thats the only one ive ever played :p

I might try FF when that comes out. Oblivion just doesn't grab me.

Eye of the Beholder 2 and the SSI AD & D Gold box series gets my vote for best RPG's. I havent really enjoyed RPG's as much in recent years in comparison to what i would class as some golden RPG years on the Amiga.

Like I said, I don't think you can compare them at all. All 3 are different styles of RPG.

You drunk? :p

:D

/ultra sarcasm

I've never really got into FF series, so can't comment on FF VII, but one day I will play it properly.

Only Zelda game I've played through was the Gameboy one, Links Awakening... really like that.

My step brothers are obesesed with an RPG called Vandal Hearts for the PS1 and I've never heard of it..

anyone care to enlighten me to its significance? if it has any..

Vandal Hearts is a turn based strategy RPG. There's set battles in it. Quite good game but the battles can get extremely long. If you've played something like Final Fantasy tactics or Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, it's that kind of style.
http://www.rpgdreamer.com/vh/vhpictures.html has some pictures of it to give you an idea. :)
I used to own it, good little game but i did get bored eventually.

Sword of Vermillion on the Megadrive blew me away at the time, Oblivion is also a classic though.

In this day and age I would pick Oblivion everyday of the week, simply sublime.

My fave Final Fantasy is still no. 6. OoT is also superb.

Oblivion has engrossed me more than any other game has for years. The amount of freedom and choices you have is staggering. So far i've put about 50 hours in and have hardly scratched the main story/quest, and it keeps getting better :)
