That's right! I just upgraded my B3 to a G0 and wow!
I thought either my RAM or Mobo (4x1GB of XMS2 6400 C5 and Asus P5KC) were the bottleneck as I could not get stable beyond 2.7GHz and even at 2.61GHz idle the temps were in the 50 degrees region per core according to coretemp and latest Speedfan!
Now though I installed the G0 and whacked it right up to 1333fsb to get 3GHz and the temps are simply astonishing when comparing idle for idle and the overclock difference (2.6 vs 3.0)
I won't be buying one of the new Quads anytime this year /at all/ now and will sell the B3 on eBay or something making the G0 at most only a £50 upgrade
Here's the readout atm:
B3 @ 2.6-2.8
G0 @ 3.0
Now my 8800GT can breathe!
