Best Sim-Only plans? EE/Vodafone/VOXI / Others?

I'm with Voxi. Been with them for many years now. Again, it all depends on your post code. Where i live, Vodafone network is very good. Don't have any issues.

Pay £12 every month. It's pretty much unlimited :D

Been with 1p for many years on the 50GB package. It's simple and just works. No weirdness with short codes, bands, contracts or subscriptions to netflix. And so far the price has only gone down.
 
Ordered a 1p sum today as the deals were starting to revert to full prices. It was meant to be with this example of how frustrating my signal issues are with Sky/O2. Rented a Lime bike to ride to King's Cross and spent over 5 minutes trying to end my ride. Despite showing 4G signal, I couldn't do anything eventually having to join some random free WiFi to get the signal I needed to end the ride. This was something that should have taken less than 30 seconds to do.

This is a spot where my signal previously crapped out, game changer on EE. I don't think I even had 5G on my previous deal lol.

Been looking to switch from Vodafone to Voxi. Tried asking in a store and they were literally not interested at all even with the Voxi stand and promotions right there. Think I need to contact Vodafone customer support and ask to be ported.

My contract is up so looking at the current £10/45Gb deal.

Interesting possible side effect with jumping to EE, my battery drain is faster (currently about 1% a minute as I type this). Need to investigate.

In my (limited) experience, I’ve found every MVNO to be worse than going direct in busy, peak areas, but I couldn’t say with certainty that it is due to any prioritisation or just more busy than usual.

at the back end of last year i switched over to 1P mobile (have a referral link if anyone wants it - not posted incase its against the rules)

they use the EE network (only MVNO to have access to the full EE bands i believe) - i pay £10 a month for 50gb data.
 
EE are offering me £12 a month unlimited with EU roaming at the moment, so 1p doesn’t seem great value. My contract is up for renewal in a few weeks.

This is the deal I went for.

Cheers for the advice guys, and for that spreadsheet. Spoke to both Vodafone (trying the "I'm leaving" dance) and also Voxi, Both said there was no difference as they were one and the same behind the name. Time will tell if that's true or not.

I found out and it is 100 Mbps. Still pretty high but I think it's a bit cheeky given EE is supposed to be the premium offering. If they're going to actively limit their plans like that, I think they'd be better off having a budget brand.


I want to stay on the EE network as the signal is generally the best for me, in addition to speeds being generally better for everything. I vividly remember having full 4G with vodafone and struggling to get much more than 20Mb down - wildly frustrating.



1p Mobile use EE, but not sure who else is worth looking at. Need to support WiFi calling, VoLTE and the other bits.
